The Raspberry Pi Pico is the first microcontroller produced by the Raspberry Pi Foundations, and they even designed the MCU for it. It has a wealth of features and a budget-friendly 4-dollar price tag.

With all of the hype around the Pico since its announcement a few weeks ago I wanted to actually DO something with it. So I decided to hook up a few simple I/O devices to it and see how to code for them using MicroPython.

I did all the coding on the Thonny IDE, and to keep things in the family I used a Raspberry Pi 4 as my host computer. You can also use Thonny and the Pico with Linux, Windows, and Mac OS X workstations as well, but it’s already installed and ready to go with the latest Raspberry Pi Operating System release.

All of these are basic I/O experiments with very simple code, but they each illustrate a useful technique that can be applied to other I/O devices. Plus, if you’re not familiar with MicroPython, it will help you ease into it, as all of the code is very elementary.

For those of you who are put off by the need to solder your own Pico pins fear not, I’ll show you just how easy it is. I’ll even give my Pico a bath after I finish soldering it!

It will be interesting to see what the future holds for this cute little microcontroller. It has some very nice design features but it also faces a lot of competition from devices like the Seeeduino XIAO, Arduino 33 IoT series, and, of course, the ESP32 boards.

But as I just received a big bag of Pico accessories, with more on the way, you’re sure to see the Pico here in the workshop again very soon!

It brought neat levels, and a good challenge as you tried to complete tasks across eras. It’s definitely got some fun elements to it, and a neat variety of missions to take part in. Cleaned up cinematics, and refined combative moments.

This is the best way to get your hands on the game at the current time which is somewhat fascinating for sure. Definitely a fun game to play, providing a challenge and the levels you expect. It’s got some difficulty tiers, and direct ways to hop in to play. The ultimate best TimeSplitters 2 Xbox Series X review and gameplay.

Far Cry 6 is taking the franchise to new places. While not everything hits, what the game does right, it does REALLY right. Check out our review.

Since the Far Cry series first launched in 2004, Ubisoft has pushed the series to new heights with each installment. When Far Cry 6 was announced I was very excited about this title, though I have my reserves, I couldn’t wait to dive into this world.

After having to wait a bit longer with the game being delayed twice, the game is finally here for us all to enjoy. I have spent some time with the game and still have a lot to do in this sprawling wild world, but I am glad to say that thing is everything I have wanted from an open-world title!

Castlevania is one of the oldest and most impactful video games of all time. It’s franchise has span decades, yet more recently Komani has failed to produce anything of note for the Blemonts, Dracula, or any other vampire. Yet, the Netflix Castlevania anime (if you want to call it an anime) is arguably the best video game show or movie adaptation ever made. A Cursed Critique of the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Series

So I’m not an enormous Castlevania fan – I’ve played the original, Circle of the Moon, Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin, Judgement, and Order of Ecclesia. These were easily less enjoyable than MOST of those games, but there was something that pulled me forward. Find out if it was “the light,” satan calling me towards hell, or the chain of capital pulling me towards making my bottom line. In any case, here’s Lords of Shadow in critique.

In this video, we take an extremely brief look at the history of Castlevania and the circumstances in which the Lords of Shadow series was developed, analyze the gameplay patterns with respect to other action games from a similar lineage, highlight unique issues and successes, and helpheplp help help hel lp help
